National University - Cohort 61 -SD

I wanted to start this for those who are applying to Cohort 61. Has anyone been to a recent nursing info session where they've gone over anything about the newly added interview component?

First I went on the ati website and did the test review, where it shows you what you need to work on. And I only studied that stuff. I used the yellow ati secrets book and just did practice tests and looked online for grammar worksheets since that was my main area i needed to improve. I went from a %70 to a 90% in that category. I also joined all the TEAS facebook groups and people posted practice question and then said, oh yeah this was on my test. So I would save those question and make sure i l knew them.

I had a different test the second time around, but some people the get same one twice. The first test I took was mostly about life science and scienfic method and for math it was word problems and geometry, the second test there was hardly any questions on that. It was mostly about endocrine and nervous system and almsot all fractions and percentage conversions.

I want some options, please.

I believe I have a competitive GPA (in the high 3s) but my teas is ehh. I got an 81 on it.

Should I chance trying to get one of those top 80 spots or take the TEAS again before the dead line on the 16th?

Hello All,I also applied to nationals cohort 61 nursing program. This is my third time applying to nursing school and I really hope third times the charm! I believe we should be getting notified about interviews by Friday as the slide from the informational states. Has anyone heard anything else about interview notifications? Good luck to all my future RN's!!! :)

I think we will be getting interview a month after the deadline. And interview and denial notification a week after the deadline. So Friday sounds about right. If you don’t mind me asking what’s your ‘teas and gpa?

Hi!! What are your scores this time around, if you dont mind me asking?

I haven't heard anything else, I only know whatever is in the info packet! I'll be stalking my phone all day Friday lol!

Robin and Aph!

I have a 3.74 for the pre-requisites and I got an 86.7% on the TEAS. I’m nervous that I won’t make the cutoff for the interview :(

How are you both feeling about everything right now? I’m super anxious!

I have a 3.6 and a 82.7 on the teas. I’m hoping for the best!

I wonder how many people applied for this cohort! I spoke to my advisor and he told me that last cohort the average teas was 88 and the cohort before that was 81. So I feel like it all just depends on how many people applied. It’s almost like a lottery, but yet I know it’s in God’s hands ?

Hi everyone, I have also applied to this cohort! The waiting game has been extremely exciting, yet nerve wrecking!!! Just waiting for the end of the week & hoping for the best.
