Hello Pre-Nursing Students!
Despite Cohort 67 being quite a bit away, I figure I start up a thread early for those of us that are eager.
I plan on applying for the May 2021 deadline. I just knocked out BST 322 and am taking ILR 260 with NU this next coming month!
I just took the TEAS and came out with a 85.3!
Please feel free to share your stats: GPA, TEAS, work experience, second degree (if any).
For those of us who already made it through and ended up on this thread, any insight would be awesome on what to expect!

Thank you ???
I have a lot of healthcare experience, I am a nursing assistant, volunteer experience in several programs, worked in the ER, and was my dads full time caregiver. I also had 2 letters of recommendation.
however, I have heard that experience doesn’t count for your score.
But for the interview when they email you your date it did say one of the main criteria they look at during the interview is previous experience. So in that case, I think it definitely is something that gives u more interview points.

I have the same GPA right now, and planning to retake the TEAS hoping to get as high as yours! Do you have any experience in healthcare? Im currently an LVN, I wonder if that will give me a bit of chance with a 3.4 GPA ???
My gosh, it’s so hard to get in.

Don't lost hope. I'm sure you will do great on your TEAS! I have work experience but not health experience.
I take care of elderly patients though!
I am retaking A&P 1 and 2, and I will be applying for cohort 68, God willing.

how many are taking StraighterLine courses?
Hello,
I finished A&P 1 and 2 yesterday through straighterline. I aced both of them. The finals were challenging, but you can do it.
Quizzes for every chapter, a midterm, and a final exam.

Hi Kris,
I’m currently in cohort 67 and an LVN as well.
My stats are: GPA, 3.57; TEAS, 91.3; and 6+ yrs of healthcare experience. My advice for you is to score higher than what I have bc you’re being compared to other LVN applicants not the “general applicants” so it’s a really concentrated pool for only 5 spots of LVN. Especially if there are LVN applicants who have crazy stats like my brother (who is applying for cohort 68 with a GPA: 4.0 and TEAS: 90+). Retake classes if necessary, like at Straighterline (I retook a&p2 and micro there). I believe in you!
Hello cohort 67! I got into cohort 68 and was wondering if anyone could share their experience in the program so far? What do you like? What don’t you’re like? Any tips and suggestions? Also- do any of you work while in the program? If so, how many hours a week would you say is do able? Just trying to gauge if working (part time) is realistic or not. Thanks so much!
