National University Cohort 81 - deadline November 8, 2024

Published

Hello everyone!

I am making this thread for anyone who is applying for NU's cohort 81. The application deadline for this cohort is on November 8, 2024. This is my second time applying for the program after getting denied from the last cohort due to my TEAS score. My stats are 3.73 GPA and 94 on the TEAS which I retook the other day. I also have 3 years of healthcare experience working mainly in behavioral health.

Looking forward to chat with all of you here 🙂

Good luck on everyone's interview! I'm definitely feeling a little nervous! Doesn't help that my interview got pushed back later .

Thank you! I need to get my last class done and the community college I'm trying to take it at had 17+ on the waitlist for every class

That's so annoying! Yes definitely check the online schedule so you can plan out ahead of time. Best of luck to you!

Do you guys know if there is a specific room number we go to for interviews?

Wish I knew but mine is on zoom.  Does anyone know if it's like a panel of people interviewing us?

Before my friend got accepted, she had hers on zoom two years ago with one person interviewing her. Hoping the same for ours.

To those scheduled for interview today, GOODLUCK!

Hi everyone! Just got back from my 11AM interview with NU. The person who interviewed me is the current dean of the nursing program. Super nice lady! She talked in detail about the program before asking me 3 questions. I was asked why I want to be a nurse, why national university, and how would I handle the intensity of the program (whether my job will allow flexibility to accommodate the random changes to the school schedule). We talked for almost half an hour mostly about nursing. I then asked her 3 questions before we ended the interview. Honestly, it felt like having a conversation with someone so it made the experience much easier and I was confident when answering her questions.

Best of luck to everyone who has their interview this week! Hopefully we all get in ☺️

Thank you! Getting kinda nervous 😬

You'll be fine! Be confident and don't rush through the questions. Treat it like having a conversation at a coffee shop if that helps! I know some students were in and out in 10 minutes so yours may be the same 😎

How long was yours?

25 minutes only bc we talked in detail about the current climate in nursing and her experience as a nurse.

And sounds like it went great AMJuan!  Really appreciate the feedback! I love people who share their insights to help others! Really great quality btw. Thank u.
