I'm planning to get into their training. I want to know your experience with them...

Is it a requirement that you have to have atleast 6months experience as a staff nurse before you'll be able to undergo their dialysis training?

How about if i want to undergo dialysis training but no experience at all.

Just want to confirm the exact date of passing the requirements at NKTI for their basic skill training ?

Is it on NOV 8 or 10...??

Requirements for NKTI BST: (Not sure if you need them still but I'm posting anyway)

1. Resume

2. TOR

3. Recomm Letter (from Dean / CI)

4. PRC ID

5. Current PNA membership (Can't believe they changed expiry dates. Expiring in October 2010, instead of December:down:)

6. NBI Clearance

7. Pic (1x1) 1 pc

(2x2) 1 pc

8. Chest X-ray (current & valid) - once accepted

9. Hepatitis B Surface Antigen screening - once accepted

10. Current IVT card - ANSAP

11. BLS card - Phil National Red Cross

Place everything in a white long transparent folder w/ slider.

I'll PM you for the contact number of IANAHP (Institute of Advanced Nursing & Allied Health Professions) of NKTI. (I can't post numbers here, our kind moderator replaces it with asterisks.) IANAHP will start accepting our requirements on November 2010 TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 9AM-11AM only.

Hello fellow nurses.

Are there any previous NKTI BST Participants here? Can I have some feedback if the BST Program a good deal?

1. What are your experiences during you BST?

2. Do they absorb nurses who perform well during their training?

3. Can I really get an edge or use this BST as an edge on applying to other hospitals?

I wish someone will answer my questions. I am planning to attend the BST but I really don't know what to expect from it.

Can somebody confirm me if is true that on the day of passing the requirements for BST you must go to NKTI as early as 3 or 4 am...( but someone is already at NKTI by 1)... This is what i heard... please share information

They will not accept you if your BLS did not come from PNRC. They are really strict with that.

YEAH, they are right BLS that are not come from red cross will not be entertain unless you are ACLS provider...

ACLS will be considered by their office

Just incase you dont have a BLS from the red cross the ADMIN told me that I can use my ACLS instead :)
