So anxious. Haven’t received an acceptance or denial. Does anyone know if acceptances come in waves? Or has anyone else not heard back yet? I’m so confused I was told by admissions to expect decisions to be sent out around thanksgiving this seems very early. ?

Consider calling them tomorrow and ask if they still have yet to send out acceptances from the first round of seat offers. I've heard that they come in waves as students decline seats they go down the list.

Hello everyone, I too applied for the Spring 2022 semester. Does anyone know or have insight into how many students may decline their seats? I contacted admissions and I guess that is what they are waiting for now. To see who will decline from the first round of emails that were sent out.

@share7899 did the admissions office tell you there would be a second wave of acceptances? I’m also still anxiously waiting to here back.

@Jlauren96 right now it depends on who rejects the seat and then they move down the list to fill up the seats.
I know it’s baffling and I’m so anxious right now.  I too have been checking my email every half hour.

@share7899 ugh it just sucks. I got an 81.3 on my TEAS and pretty sure had 7/10 classes required for the program done but I don’t live in Nassau. Applied to Suffolk as well and also didn’t make the cut. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed!! ?? It’s insane looking at old threads I saw people who didn’t live in Nassau and get in with 72 on the TEAS. Times have changed and more people are applying.

@Jlauren96 just hoping and praying right now. The application pool varies each semester.  I do hope we will get in ! I’m actually excited to start studying and do clinicals.

Hi friends— I just wanted to leave an update both for you guys and for any future students reading this:

I was accepted to every school I applied to (from farmingdale to Masters direct entry Columbia, 10 schools), but had not heard from Nassau still. I sent off an email, they called me back a few hours later to say they had denied me on Nov 16. I never received any email to any of email addresses including my Nassau one. They argue that they sent it. Sorry but I’ve been searching for nursing acceptances and keeping an eye out every single day, they never sent it. My Nassau email only has a few emails that have ever been sent to it so I know I didn’t miss it. Then they go on to say they never received my AP scores from college board and that if they had I would have been in. I did send them…twice. I have been out of school for more than 4 years so it had to be done by mail. Also, my 4 year university accepted those credits (both were 5s) and added them to my transcript. Farmingdale was my first choice, so this doesn’t really matter but left a bad taste in my mouth and made it seem like they don’t really have their *** together. They couldn’t verify the email addresses they sent the emails to.

All this to say, if you are a future applicant and really care about a school, make sure to follow through, call, email, be annoying! Verify they have everything you need, even if your online portal says they do.

That's insane. What did you decide to do?

Farmingdale was always my first choice so I have paid my deposit there and am happy to be attending. I just thought this was such an odd thing to happen. I’ve heard such good things about Nassau.

@carolannyanne Nassau is such a hot mess. I dealt with so much bs saying they didn’t get my college transcript even though I sent it twice and literally ended up having to get a physical copy and driving it over. Then they told me I need my high school transcript as well and I argued for 40 mins over knowing I don’t need my high school transcript if I have a college degree?? Anyway after much back and forth I got everything squared away. They also claimed they sent me a rejection email on the 16th which I never got. But congrats on Farmingdale!! That’s so exciting. I’m surprised you got into Farmingdale and not Nassau?? I heard that Farmingdale is supposed to be harder to get into? I’m thinking applying there but unsure with an 81.3 on my TEAS ? but I guess worth a shot
