Nassau Community College Nursing program Spring 2017

Published

I didnt see a thread for spring 2017 so I thought I should start one. I would be applying for nassau's nursing program and would like to know who else would be applying and what your stats are. Also I was told by the nursing department that the soonest we would hear if we were accepted/rejected wouldnt be until the first week in december. Im so nervous as this is my second time applying and hope to not get rejected once again. The first time I applied back in march i did not have any classes done but had already started taking classes towards nursing pre reqs so Im very nervous and would like to hear from anyone who has applied previously or will be applying.

Has anyone gotten any letters yet? every time I call I get a different answer on when we should be receiving them. Now theyre saying they wont be sent out until the first or second week in december - so for those who do get accepted how are they supposed to do their orientation and get vaccines and register for other classes in such short notice? this is crazy i think im just tired of the wait

Nope. Nothing as yet. I was told that we will know by the first week in December. If we get accepted we'll just be real busy trying to get everything done in time. Does anyone know how the joint BSN program that NCC have with Farmingdale work?

I've asked twice about when we will receive our letters and the first time I was told by thanksgiving, the second time I was told letters will be out by December 7th. Either way I'm tired of the wait!

I believe you take classes that count towards your Bsn while still at Nassau and once youre accepted into the nursing program you'll be automatically accepted into farmingdale or whichever college you choose so you won't have to do another application process

I called last week and was told that they will begin mailing admissions letters the week of December 5th. It seems like its a different answer every time someone calls, lol. Hopefully the holidays come early for everyone!

Exactly it's always a different answer drives me crazy!

Just checking in to say I am starting to get anxious lol Starting next week I will start stalking my mailman :) Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope you guys don't stress and obsess over this like I am can't wait until December so we can atleast know what's going on

Hey everyone, I stumbled across your thread and I figured I would reply. I'm about to go into my third semester of the nursing program at NCC and I remember waiting for that damn letter lol. If it helps at all, I received mine the first week of December. It came in a simple white envelope with Nassau Community College typed/ stamped on the top. Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the info! Hopefully we get it soon and would you mind sharing your stats when you were accepted into the program?

I don't remember what I got on the TEAS, but they don't look at your overall score. They look at each individual grade and it needs to be higher than a 55 to be considered. The higher the grade, the better your chances of getting in. I know Nassau doesn't look at your science grade on the TEAS so you could have gotten a 30 and it doesn't matter.
