Any one applying for Nursing at NCC for Fall 2018?
Every semester it's different last semester was 134 points and before that was 108. So there you go the highest and lowest..you will get in your score is high. Just prepare to study hard and in two years you will be the next face in the health care industry RN.
Is that information they provide you if you are not accepted?
Threads from previous semesters had way more people commenting...I wonder if the new BSN in 10 will lower the applicant pool at NCC.
Yes, NCC is not approved for the BSN yet and and the new law for everyone to have a BSN to work in hospital will definitely lower the pool. Yes they give the minimum points they accepted if you called after April. BSN makes sense to most people and it is better for most people and better to get into a job after school.

I feel like the applicant pool will probably remain the same for a little while. For the last few years, hospitals have mainly been hiring nurses with BSN before the bill was signed. Only places that were taking Associate nurses were nursing homes and the VA hospitals. My fiancée is a Nurse Manager at the VA in northport and he says they will take an associate nurse depending on what unit it is.
NCC trying to get approved BUT they DIDNOT get approved yet and this is confirmed by the chair of nursing. So professors can talk whatever they are dreaming of but the reality is that it NOT approved and NCC have to comply with lots of requirements before they get that approval . BSN approval is not all good too for students because the competition will be higher. My friend is putting her application next Friday so I will come with her to orientation after she gets a r accepted. BSN program prevent the under privileged students from having a chance to become RNs. The reason for community college will be undermined.

You should chill out.. Some of what you said, makes no sense. BSN prevents underprivileged students from becoming RNs? .... Makes no sense.
I am very chilled because I am in the RN program. The main reason community colleges were created it was to help the students who didn't do great academically. With an BSN program they will have an accelerated RN program will you have to get a BS or BA to get in. If you know anything about space limit.. you would realize that more people will attend NCC with higher GPA and degrees. Meaning people who got out of high school or changing careers without a degree will suffer. Also community colleges help students who struggle academically. These students will not get the attention they need in the nursing program because all the other students will all be at a higher pace of learning. Right now NCC Nursing is having so many students failing and they are helping those students to retake class, you are not in the program so you have no idea what is nursing and the rigorous material. The only reason some of these students even get into this program is because it is not that desirable, and by being in this program made they grew up and focus. With competition they would have left behind and then left out. That's the reason you didn't appied to farmingdale or CUNY because you would NEVER get in. And I do believe you can be a Nurse with the right teaching at a pace you can handle that's what NCC provides now.

You're entire rant appears to be negative and you seem to be in your emotions at the moment. Between your grammar and nonsensical explanation; You should probably focus more on your nursing studies and leave this forum to people who are actually potential students. Have a great afternoon and good luck with the semester.
Exactly my point community colleges are for people like myself with poor grammar etc. wonder why your teas English didn't reflect your exceptional grammar skills.
Lol I do not take the TEAS until next week. So you're statement again makes no sense.. Logic aka Illogical, please stop being an internet troll on here.
