Hello, I am wondering if there is anyone here that is applying to Nassau for Fall 2016. I have applied and I'm scheduled to take my TEAS exam on 3/18. I do not have all of my pre-requisites which I understand gives me a better chance of being admitted. I plan to take classes this summer and will take the rest in the Fall if I'm not admitted. I would just like to know thoughts on getting into this program. Also, if there is anyone currently in the program please share your thoughts on how things are going for you. Thanks!
Oh ok you went according to previous posts. I didn't know . That's what they said to me with admissions they said don't even bother . I have had nursing as my major for over a week now and it wasn't allowing me to register so I was getting annoyed and called and that what they said. Anyway I live in western Suffolk so plainview or Huntington would work for me , hope I get plainview though. Closer to where I have to drop my kids off , I have a 2 and a 3 year old. Yikes , should be an interesting 2 years, better enjoy our summers lol

Yikes indeed! Well I live in Bayside, Queens and if I get Huntington thats about 40minutes drive if there isn't traffic... right now my only concern is financial aid. If I dont have at least 12 credits I dont get aid. But I have most of my classes so... yeah
Ya I looked into that farmingdale program it's a great option, however ur sciences have to be 5 years old or less at the start of the program. My a and p1 is from 2010 so I don't make the cutoff. I guess in a way it's good bc I run a hpusehold and have 2 small children so slow is the key for me . Another good bsn option is the suny empire one, if you read on their website they have some sort of "contract" with Nassau and if you keep a 3.0 average you basically get right in and can get the bsn in 2 -3 years while working. I think that's the option for me. Suffolk doesn't have "bridge program" so to speak even though getting into an RN-bsn program isn't nearly as competitive as a regualr RN ADN program. Who knows what will be in 2 years when we graduate. Anyway just another option I think good for those of us with a family. I also got accepted to Suffolks nursing program but it think I am going to Nassau. Suffolk requires an additional science course called health assessment and a nursing success course and they suggest a nursing calculations course, that's 12 credits instead of the 7 I would need with nassaus nursing 101. Anyway, just felt like being informative lol, have a great night everyone
Hey everyone I finally decided to make an account after this long, I didnt recieve anything in the mail yet and ok my unofficial transcript it says not pursuin degree because I'm a transfer student. I'm extremely nervous, does this mean I didnt get in?? Is anyone else experiencing this?
No, it doesn't mean you didn't get in. My official transcript says the same thing. I would call the nursing dept an ask them if you got in.
