How are you allowed to have your nails in nursing? Could certain areas allow them to be longer (even if they're natural, well groomed and you wear gloves)?

Saved $$ by having natural nails, no polish throughout my nursing career... to spend on needlepoint canvases.

I used to go get manicures and clear or light pink paint. During covid, I realized by doing my own at home, how much cash I was saving. Now, I do my manis at home, no polish. I use my saved cash on sock yarn, sublimation goodies, and tumbler supplies

I used to do my  own at home, but they always looked crappy, I was spending a ton of money and time on various different products and supplies (trying different dips, gel polishes, quick-dry polishes, a UV light, etc). So now I just go get them done every 3 weeks, and I never have to think of them again until my next appointment.
