I know that when I was in nursing school, I was never allowed to wear nail polish of any form or fashion. ever.
I know some facilities do allow polish and the policy for the hospital I will be interviewing for never explicitly said no nail polish, but it didn't say it was allowed either in a list of no-nos for nails - acrylic, gel, etc.
My question is - I have a nice pinkish pearl color that I am already wearing and will match my shirt. It's not an outlandish color or anything. They're not chipped and look nice - I see it as being nicely groomed. But I also know it can be a no-go for nurses to wear nail polish. Granted, it's an interview, but I want to uphold their policies for an interview, too. I did read them when applying and want to abide by them. I would ask for clarification when and if I was employed on the nail polish, which I don't have the ability to do at the moment.
Thoughts?

I see nothing wrong with it for the interview. It isn't like you are showing up for an interview dressed as you would for work

I agree - you're not bound by the organization's dress code if you're not even employed by them yet. If it were something loud and trendy, I would say no just because it would give the wrong impression, but I don't see anything wrong with subtle, neutral nail polish in good condition for an interview.
thanks to both of you!

Yea I wore polish to my interview and it was a nice shimmer brown. I had on a nice interview suit with my hair appropriate and I looked nice. I would never go to an interview or anywhere else without my nails looking good I think it puts the touch to your hands.
