Hello all you SC nurses -
I will be a new RN grad in May 2006 and my family & I are thinking of relocating to N Myrtle Beach. My aunt said there is a fabulous hospital there, so I was wondering if you of ya'll could give me some info. Also, I am very interested in psych nursing and was wondering what facilities I might look into for psych nursing.
I really appreciate any and all advice you can give me!
Thanks!
Kristen

Hello,I live in Myrtle Beach and am in my second semester of nursing. So far I have had all my clinicals in Loris as well. You are right mtngrl...they are the friendliest. I listen to all my classmates that are in Georgetown and Grandstrand...they complain that everyone is mean and do not seem to want students there. Loris seems to love students. As much as I hate the ride out there...I really wouldn't mind doing most of my clinical rotations there for the duration of school. Good luck in your relocation to the mountains.... :balloons:
Are you a student at HGTC? That's where I went. And I made sure to do my preceptorship at Loris. All the hospitals are good places that provide good care, I just think the people at Loris are more laid back and helpful to each other. Good luck in school, it gets hard but just keep on. You'll be done eventually!
