My NCLEX experience

Hi everyone,

My heart is still pounding!! I took the test on friday morning with 75 questions and just checked quick results and I PASSED!! :jester::D

I woke up friday morning with a miserable migraine and needed to take 2 imitrex 100mg to get it to start going away. Luckily on my 1 1/2 hr trip to philadelphia it did. I got to the center early and they took me right away. I sat down, wrote my name with RN behind it on the white board, took a deep breath and began. I only checked where I was in the numbers about 3 times and was in the 20's, 50's and 73. I don't usually have much test anxiety so I was comfortable throughout the test. I had 2 med calc., about 8 SATA, a lot of teaching/meds and quite a bit of priority/what do first/next and a few infection control. I felt pretty good when I left but this wait and double thinking myself almost drove me crazy!! For those still waiting to take or for results try to think positive and take deep breaths.

I only told my family and my 1 preceptor at work that I was testing because I didn't want the stress of everyone knowing and telling me I would be fine. I don't regret that decision, it took a lot of stress off of me.

Good luck to all those still waiting for their results and for those yet to test!! You will do this!!

Congratulations!

Thanks everyone. Claralon, it is ok to be nervous- try to turn that nervousness into positive energy, let it work for you not against you. Good Luck!!
