Was great! Thank you for all your great stories to inspire me. Our NICU is such an interesting, challenging place to work.
I had a 32 weeker with perforated NEC then picked up a 32 weeker with neuroblastoma who ended up getting intubated because her mass is causing airway compromise.
We got 4 admits all at the same time two cardiacs, one nasty shoulder dystocia, and a PS so we were running our tails off.
I got an IV on my first go-they'd had to call in the "big guns" to place one in the same kid the night before so I was feeling mighty fine about that. Yeah, I've still got it. Just like riding a bicycle.
My baby was less than thrilled about the separation however. I got home and she reached her wee arms out and cried. I got a little choked up.
Anyway, I'm really glad I found this board. Hope you don't mind me sharing!
