Well hopefully you have ALREADY STARTED studying. I liked Lippincotts NCLEX made incredibly easy for the PN, very similar questions to the NCLEX. I recommend you know your ABCs, Maslows, LAB VALUES!!, patient priortizing, and Safety first. If you absolutely don't know an answer you just have to go with common sense and your gut instinct.

i got a lot of question on MedSurg and prioritization, a combination of both.
read trough culture, religion practice, i got 5 question and got stucked for a while till i finally choose answer which i think is right.
read, maternity section like dic, pih, placenta previa and so on..
make sure you read the question a couple of times, not all the question have highlighted word such as most, least, essential etc...
the very important one that made my heart stop beating, if it looks like it shut down after 2hrs of ur test, dont freak out it will just ask you if you want to take a break, not very funny, i almost cried and thought i failed!
i dont know if every computer are different on asking question about breaks.
i got 85 question and spend about almost 3hrs and the good thing is that i passed. i read every word of each question very slowly and internalize it esp if u dont know the question. try to use process of elimination, it really helps..
hope this will help you...

Thank you so much for the tips! Not to hijack the thread, but I sit for my boards 9/26! I can't wait until I can "legally" (LOL) post on the LPN board!
BTW, I have the NCLEX-PN Made Incredibly Easy book and CD. I used it in school to help with exams and I am finding the CD to be very useful in helping me find my weak points and strong points. I definitely recommended it.
I took the board already i moved it to aug 30 not sept 17! i think i did bad.
My instructor told me that it' very common to feel like you did bad on the test, coz the computer gives you a harder question each time you answered right, its testing your critical thinking.
I was crying after the test coz i thought i did bad but i passed, so just cross your finger and hope for the best.

Everyone thinks they did bad. I must be the only one who knew I passed as soon as the computer shut off.
The best review book I found was Kaplan's RN (even tho you take the LPN boards.) They show you how to break down the question and pick the right answer. Priority always and safety first! And when in doubt...Maslow it!
