  1. Anyone out there know of hospitals or LTC facilities that hire recent graduates w/license and with decent pay $14 or more. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
  2. I would say just be confident and try to study books that focus on priority nursing.
  3. I took it Tuesday morning and found out Thursday morning. You can log onto your States Board of Nursing and type in your name for license verication. I am not for sure if that applies to all states though,
  4. :balloons: Thank GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:kiss I logged on to my state board of nursing this morning and ther my name was I could not believe it. I was in total SHOCK b/c afer taking the NCLEX I felt I got mabe 10 answers right. For those waiting to take the test, focus alot on PRIORITY nursing. Your pharmocology questions are your gimme points. Thanks for all positive praise and support to everyone !
  5. QUOTE=JBuG88]Hey there I bet you did just fine...my friend took NCLEX like 2 months ago...shut off at 88 and she passed no problem...she got like 10 or 11 of those awful questions where you check all that apply! I am in your boat of not knowing and feeling the way you do...I took NCLEX Monday and am waiting to find out today! I have been sick to my stomach the past couple days. Hang in there! I'm sure you will be okay!
  6. Just took my NCLEX-PN about an hour ago and I feel like a ton of bricks are laying on my chest. My computer shut off @ 85 questions. After I finished I didn't know what to think. I couldn't remember any question that I may have gotten right. I had 4 pharm. ??s and about 7 select all that apply. My studying didn't really seem to help b/c with each ?? my mind went COMPLETELY blank. I am not the nervous type at all, but I had butterflies all throughout the test. So I just pray I passed.:uhoh21: My heart is giving me doubt and my mind is telling me to trust God for it. So I will do that and let you guys know how I did in a couple of days. Prayers of the righteous be with me.:)
  7. I was wondering what are all pre-reqs that you need for LVN to RN transition. I have NO pre-reqs I plan to take them this fall. I was interested in El Centro, is it hard to get accepted there and where is Northlake campus? Any help is appreciated...
  8. She also, several times, throughout the posting stated her own opinion on the matter. And not attending a pinning ceremony b/c of a dress...hmmm !!!!!! .But, thats her opinion, and she's entitled to it. But maybe, just maybe, if we cared as much about the really important things as we do about smaller things the world would be a much better place.
  9. VERY Well said, I couldn't agree with you more..I see other post where people are making a Big stink about it just because they are having it at a Church...Its not about where the ceremony is held, its about what the ceremony stands for.
  10. Why don't you just skip the ceremony if you have so many concerns about the whole thing. Some people were complaining about every little thing about our pinning ceremony, my advice to them was either come and just do it and focus on the most important goal...(becoming a nurse) or stay at home and complain. In ten years its not going to matter where the ceremony took place, or what you had on.
  11. Thanks for the info, I woul hate for the pay to be much, much less though. But, I know that is the area I want to work in. I don't know if daycares or private school hire LVNs. I do plan on going on to be a RN but in the meantime I have to work..
  12. Thanks for the info, I will check into. I hope I'm not putting the cart before the horse b/c we don't graduate unil next June. But I wanted to check on it, as to know what to expect in the field that I want to pursue
  13. Prayer is what we all need whether DEAD or ALIVE, no matter what the denomination, I would not be offended if you were to pray for me or my family members. As long as you were a true believer.
  14. Hi, do you have to be an RN to be a school nurse, or could you be a LVN (in TX). I was wondering about the Dallas/Ft.Worth area, but I don't know where to begin to find out.
