Both countries will ask you if you have any issues with your license and you will have to tell them about it. Only then can they make a decision on whether to give you a license or not. You still have to meet other requirements like immigration and finding employer

By the time, you go thru the application process in either (months to over a year) in either countries and will have to spend money to do so, with the CA license in question that will certainly come up in the process and it's with no certainty, a CN or AU license will be granted.
Is the CA reinstatement promise in writing that after one year, it will be reinstated with no attachments or other conditions?
You say it's a misunderstanding. Why not file for an appeal with the CA BRN? It's less costly even tho' for the time being, you'll need to find another source of income, even if it's not nursing related.
If the reinstatement is in writing, you can use that to your advantage and explain that you felt pressured. Unless that document is pretty strong in its language and the reasons are very strong. If it's not in writing, you can still explain your side of the story.
I would look into finding a good employment or labor lawyer that is familiar with CA nursing laws and its appeal process. It could be cheaper or same cost of going the Canada or AU route and but not having to uproot your entire family into a new set of daily living and staying put should be a good motivation to do so.
Ask the lawyer if he/she will look at your case with a free consultation for 15-30 minutes or tell them what's the minimum amount just to review your case without committing to sign up with them. A good lawyer will do that for you. Just make sure that you have all your information updated and you could even write down your own explanation of what happened, why and the results.
You can probably find another job and not have to go back to your previous employer.
Was your place of employment a nursing home, SNF, LTC or ??
Good luck!

You should have consulted a legal advisor then, and it probably would not hurt to consult one now. It sounds like you may have made a rash decision while under pressure. Please see if there is something you can do to mitigate this poor decision.

Not the same issue, totally different scenario and I mentioned this when this same article came out a couple of years ago, my friend's aunt (Pinay) worked with some of these same nurses and the ones in the suit were not listening to the management's policies. She too got tired of them (nurses) and left to NY after decades and starting off in CA.
I also mentioned that this is one "possible" reason, that CA and other states have slowly stopped into the hiring of more PH nurses as they don't listen and there's an insider way of thought whereby many of the Phils nurses tend to form what's known as a "Filipino mafia".
This causes resentment and ill feelings amongst the non-Phils, even tho' the PH nurses are not talking about them (maybe, maybe not) since they don't understand the language.
But what comes around goes around.
The last that I heard (last year) from my friend was that management while they didn't "lose" any money (suit amount was paid from their insurance company). The nurses that filed got less hours, more graveyard shifts, more weekend hours, etc, call it retaliation, but not easy to prove. Some have even quit in which they were replaced by non-Phils or Phils that got along with management.
Btw, I know I'm a pinay myself.
Filipino Mafia - That is going to be one of my ace cards to get my girl working at the hospital of my choice. Not a lot of Pinays here, but they tend to stick together pretty good in my area. I have befriended a couple of pinay nurses in my subdivision that work at the Hospital I want my girl to work at I am hoping to use the Mafia connection here, There tend not to be many Pinays in my area.
But back to your post, In the USA if you are a minority female many places will not fight you in a lawsuit, it is not worth their time or money. They know they are fighting a loosing battle. I would hope the OP would get on Welfare/ and WIC and get food subisdidy while trying to get her job back.
Sounds like to me she was railroaded out of a job, I have zero problems suing people if I feel like I am in the right
