Mutiple Travel Nurse Agencies Submitted to Same Hopsital

Hello all,

I am new to travel nursing and this would be my first assignment. I signed up with multiple travel nurse agencies. One in particular I really like their staff and they have been excellent! Five stars!! They submitted to a hospital for me last week. Then I just got a phone call from another agency this morning that said they would also submit for me to the same hospital! How does that work? Does the hospital choose which agency to work with when dealing with me? Or is it whoever submitted first?? Is it better to have more than one place to apply for you for the same position?lol Sorry for my rant!

Thanks in advance!

Sorry to say, but that's actually the kind of thing you should not do - being submitted to the same facility by more than one agency.

Usually that will result in your application not even being considered as the hospital will not want to get into a conflict as to which agency gets the contract.

For this reason, if working with more than one agency, you should instruct all agencies not to submit you for a contract without asking you first.

You should NEVER have more than one agency submit you for the same assignment. It is extremely bad form, makes you look desperate and makes it look like you are playing one agency against another - not a game that they want to be involved in. They might have two agencies claiming proprietory interest, something that causes bad feelings.

Most facilities will toss your ap/inform the agencies/ and some may refuse to consider you in the future.
