MUSC ABSN Fall of 2015

U.S.A. South Carolina

I know this is still a little early, but I wanted to go ahead and make the thread so all prospective students could prepare. My credentials aren't nearly as good as a lot of people who have applied, but I felt like it was worth a shot since MUSC is my last chance at a BSN before I just do the ADN and bridge to BSN later on.

I should have right at a 3.1 at the time of my application. Made a C in Anatomy, a B+ in Physiology, and a B- in Chemistry. Microbiology will be in progress next semester, and I made pretty much As in every other non-science pre-req. I'm hoping that my volunteer and work experience will buffer my low GPA and grades :)

Trep, I know you were replying to someone else but I just want to say that you put me at ease because I have the same problems with low GPA. I do have patient care experience, though, so I'm hoping that will help in some way.

I applied to Trident and got the letter today that I somehow don't meet their requirements for enrollment into their program. I have to go up there tomorrow to figure it out because I'm not sure if it's a mistake or not. Honestly it was much easier to apply to MUSC than Trident but I really need a backup :/

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good wednesday!

Hey I got a B! Considering the amount of time I studied I will definitely take it. How about you?

Hey I volunteer at musc and my director and I are trying to figure out how to access that status spreadsheet. Where do we go?!? Lol

how were you able to access this report?

I got a 72, a little disappointed because I wanted at least a B but I was just happy I passed and I am ready for the next one lol. If you go to the musc website and go to academics and type in the search bar "nursing applications" it should be the first result on the page. You can only see if you on an musc computer so it sucks for people like me who cant see if but if you're able to access it can you post and update picture on here please :)

Musc.edu website ?? You will be fine next time! I read and created my own outline and did prepU. A lot of people in my clinical group didn't pass at all.

https://www.musc.edu/nursing/academics/undergraduate/ and the search bar is at the top. my whole clinical group scored between a 72 and 81 lol one of our girls got there at 9:02 though so she didn't even get to take it!

i sat in the front! i saw her try to come in, and i felt so bad for her! we will get A's next time since we know what to expect!

hello all! I spoke to someone in admissions today, she said they should be meeting the last week of February or first week of march and letters should be in the mail the first or second week of march! hopefully that means we all should definitely know by 15 march! :)

I have also applied for the Fall 2015 semester! I am going crazy here!!!!!

sarahliz51 were you able to see the most recent stats?

i will be there tomorrow morning by 9 and we will try to look them up again then !
