Everyone will be different. I did not do alot of questions because I scored so badly on the practice ones. But that is just me. Find what you are comfortable with. Find what helps you stay focused. If you are losing focus, take a short break and come back to studying. Good luck.
No, you are not bad if you are understanding the rationals and doing 50-70 per day. I did alot less than that. Do what is right for you.
Yeah everyone studies at their own pace, just depends on what your comfortable with. I tried religiously doing at least 100 questions a day but by the month of my exam I just focused on understanding the rationales and would probably get 50-70 questions tackled in one day just like you. I think your on the right track, the number of questions you practice won't matter if you're not understanding what your practicing. Keep up the good work and continue to stay focused. Goodluck :)
I agree with the consensus: Pace yourself and understand the rationales to the questions. When you start getting comfortable doing 50-70 questions a day, begin to gradually increase it. Aside from knowing your subject matter, pacing yourself and remaining calm throughout the test does make a difference. No one knows exactly the amount of questions that they'll recieve during the exam, so it's best to prepare as if you'll take the whole 265 (although the likelihood of someone doing the whole 265 is not common).
Hello,
The best advice I could give you is to try to answer at least 200 questions a day and study for at least 2 hours a day. Because, one of my instructors suggest that. That is one her jobs to go and check out what they are looking for and learn how to beat the n-clex. And like I said, that is what she recommend. Good Luck:yeah:
when i was doing content review and questions from hogan or saunders i could only do 50-100 questions a day. i tried to do more but its hard. but they say you should being studying 8 hours a day and doing about 200 a day. by the time you take the NCLEX you should of taken total of 2000+ questions. i dunno if thats true. but i think im almost there... awww
all i can say is no matter how many questions you do, be patient, take the time to understand it and find out what fits for the question. Use Maslow, ABCD(disease)E(Expected)... use your test taking strategies and keep building your confidence in test taking. content is still important too so if you did not know it be sure to look it up.
I suggest 50-100 a day as long as you understand and can recall everything you did at the end of each day. It's no use doing a lot and just forgetting it. No need to rush things. Understanding everything is the key to studying. I tried memorizing and it doesnt work because if I cant recall one word then everything fails. Hope this helps! Goodluck to all of us!
I am doing at least 100 questions a day (and completed all of Qbank and the Question Trainers through Kaplan). Reading over previous posts, I guess that is an adequate number.
The Saunders book says that the test-taker should adjust their study time so that it ends 2 days before the test. I think I'm going to be studying up till the day of the test. Not cramming but doing last-minute review.
The book also says that the mind is like a muscle and that if it gets overworked, it loses strength. I just hope I don't overwork myself and still have enough endurance in me on the day of the test!

i heard that u should only be studying 2-3 hours a day.....i read that most people do 100-200 question.......
and when i study for 3 hours the MAX number of question i study per day is 50-70 because im trying to understand and read the rationale...is that mean im doing really bad? i cant even do 100 question a day or else i have to study more than 3 hours....
so what is the minimun question you should be doing each day if you study for 3 hours aday????
