MTSU Fall 2015 nursing applicants

U.S.A. Tennessee

Hey everyone. I am being nosy and wondering about the applicants I am up against for MTSU's fall nursing program. I applied on Thursday. I am just so nervous and worried my stats aren't good enough. I really want to know other peoples stats. I have an 88 on the HESI and a 3.314 gpa (due to freshman foolishness). Hope to hear from someone! :)) Good luck everyone!

When did you turn in your application?

I just got my call today too! It's on Monday.

Geek-Bait, if you youtube anything like, "Nursing school interview experience/help" then there should be some good results. Just flip through a few until you find ones of people talking about their experience. I liked this one:

I turned in my application January 30th.

Congrats and good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Done with the interview! Kim told me today there were 138 applicants and they aren't done yet calling everyone in for interviews!

The interview wasn't scary--I was just really nervous. They only asked about 5 questions.

What kind of questions did they ask you?

What you would expect in a normal job type interview. Strengths and weaknesses, failures you've had in your life, and a couple things about if you were a nurse etc.

I just had my interview and I think it went great! Now its just a waiting game. They said we will find out if we got in before priority registration on April 1st. Good luck everybody!

I'm beginning to feel discouraged as I haven't been contacted yet. Did they mention a cut off point for scheduling interviews? I turned in my application at the beginning of January and recently called Kim to follow up. Apparently a lot of people have called her about this because she seemed somewhat annoyed with my questions.

Congrats to everyone who has already had an interview. I hope you did well.

Hi, Geek-Bait. I wouldn't be worried if I were you. I had my interview a week ago and she said they still hadn't called a lot of people. Actually, while I was sitting there waiting I heard a couple people call her to ask about it, haha. Don't give up hope, and you will do great!

I actually had my interview yesterday. I feel pretty good about my answers, though to be honest, there is a lot that I can't recall. It all happened so fast. It's kind of scary to think that 6 questions have equal weight to the GPA of every college class I have ever taken.

FWIW, my experience was pretty much the same as everyone else's. I'm surprised they didn't ask me if I had any questions at the end. That didn't stop me from asking a few. ;)

BTW, thanks so much for the encouragement from everyone on this thread. It really helps. I hope all of us will be accepted.
