MTSU Fall 2015 nursing applicants

Hi there! I applied as well for the Fall of 2015 and am anxious to hear something! Haha. I got an 87 on the HESI and have a 4.0 GPA. I guess we just have to wait and see about interviews. I'll let you know if I hear anything...

Awh, you are so sweet! Thanks, girl. You have a great GPA and HESI score as well! I mean we still have to do the interview, so there's always that =/ I'm taking A&P 2 and microbiology right now. Are you done with yours?

Yeh, I'm really anxious about the interview. I just feel like I may have left something out of the application. What all did we need? lol Yes I am done with all mine. After looking at the website I am worried I forgot something.

As far as I know, (and I called way too many times to make sure, haha) we needed the 2 page application, (where we put all our personal info, etc.) our HESI grade sheet, and all transcripts. =/ So yeah, I hope they didn't forget to tell me about something I needed. Is that all what you included in your packet?

Yes that's all I put in!! Thank goodness! I was looking at the website again and it said new application details or something! I read it and it was talking about having immunizations and a "true blue slip" included in the envelope lol I FREAKED out

Have either of you received a call to schedule the interview? I turned in my applications (Blue/White forms) HESI scores, and transcripts in person at the beginning of January so I may be far down on the list for scheduling.

GPA 3.46; HESI 93.43.

BTW, how are both of you preparing for the interview?

Hello, what blue/white forms are you talking about? I called Thursday to see if they have been setting up interviews. They have not started calling yet! I am just looking online at some of the questions that have been asked. I also am practicing with my boyfriend lol.

Well that's good to know they haven't been scheduling them yet! I turned in my packet mid January. jessicazac, the blue and white forms were the informative application where you had to fill in your grades/personal info. They used to be two sheets, (the blue form and the white form) but they merged them into one form in mid January. Turning in either both sheets or the merged version was fine.

To prepare for the interview I watched a bunch of youtube videos of people talking about their experience. I also Googled common questions and read here on the Allnurses website from people who went through the interview. I then made flashcards of all the questions I thought I could be asked and tried to work out good, solid answers.

Got any decent links of YouTube videos for interview prep? I found a couple that were pretty good, but most were oriented toward the general interview process rather than specifically for nursing applicants. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, you both have great hesi scores and GPA.

I just got a call from Kim to set up my interview! My GPA is 3.46 and I made a 88 on the hesi. I'm really nervous! Good luck everybody!
