No it was a list of general things but I met everyone of them. MTSA began accepting people in early May. Deadline was 5/30. & they had 307 ppl apply which is way more than average. The ppl who applied before April had a better shot than anyone else . They began giving seats away before they even went through all the applicants so it was more of a first come first serve this year. Which sucks but whatever ! Congratulations to everyone who did get interviewed / in!!

I received a rejection email today, as well. It must have been pretty generic in regards to how I can improve my application bc I meet all but one of the requirements they recommend I improve on:

-I’ve been working in level 1 trauma center hospitals since I graduated with my BSN 4 years ago.

-CVICU experience just shy of 2 years

-CCRN certified since January

-3.0 GPA or above in all science classes

- also, I have 9 credits total of Chemistry courses

-I’m also involved in a few community volunteer activities

-they recommend a 150 or above in each section of the GRE. I’m just shy of 150 in verbal with a 147 so I’m assuming that’s literally the only thing that held me back from receiving an interview.

Congratulations to everyone else accepted so far though! ?

I’m planning on retaking the GRE, but appreciate any tips on what else I should be doing bc I’ve given up so much of my life for this so far and I’m extremely passionate of this future career.

Yeah its a pretty generic list. It's difficult to swallow when you have all the credentials/scores listed, but for me I was missing my CCRN. I wonder if that is really all that kept me from obtaining an interview. Most of the schools I've been rejected to that are actually responding back to me willing to look at my application have all said to submit earlier. I still have a difficult time with this because at times I've been struggling to get my letters completed (mostly from my manager) and was waiting for my Spring grades to come in before I could submit. I'm still not able to rationalize giving away interviews and acceptance spots prior to the deadline. Many schools this cycle have done that and it has been super frustrating.

Anyone have interviews yesterday? How did they go?

Specializes in CVICU & STICU.

Hello Everyone,

I don't have my interview until Monday! Im quite nervous. I've been waitlisted for another school so I am really trying to improve my interview skills, because I am quite shy.. I still have to take my GRE test. Did anyone here get an interview without the GRE? did they asked you why you haven't taken it? what was ya'lls response!

CONGRATS to everyone that got accepted :)

I emailed ******** today to followup after my interview yesterday. She said they will be making final decisions the first week of July.

Does anyone know how many people have already been accepted?

****** the admissions coordinator, will be retiring next month. I remember that when I was applying she was super graceful and helpful. If she has helped you out, you may consider sending her a thank you email. I'm sure she would appreciate it!
