Hi guys,
I just submitted my application to Mt. Sac just a few days ago. I know they are taking applications until Sept. 1, 2016. This application period is for a start date Spring 17'
I'll be posting any updates on here, hopefully others will also contribute to their experience or updates on their process.
I just called the nursing dept. about the orientation dates and they said they have condensed it to 3 days
Thanks for doing that, I was just about to call them myself.
Does anyone have any idea what we're going to be doing? Three full days seems like an awful lot of time just for orientation.

It is a long time! I'm assuming a whole lot of talking, meeting the staff and instructors, the math review, the entire 2 year schedule and I have no idea what else besides the basic uniform background check and all that.
Does anyone know the rigor of the program? I know Rio Hondo has a reputation for being particularly tough, but I haven't heard much about Mt Sac's, nor can I find any recent information on it... I'm hoping to work part time and know I'll only learn so much from faculty speakers at orientation since they'll most likely discourage working at all. But from what I've seen, working P/T in nursing school is doable...?
If I was in your position, I would rather take out student loans and pay them off after the first few years of working as a R.N.Does anyone know the rigor of the program? Hi guys, I asked this question in a separate thread, but I didn't receive any replies so desperation has lead my to ask it here. If you were accepted to both Mt. Sac and RCC, and distance wasn't a factor, which would you select? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.
I would select RCC's program because I have heard nothing but good things about their nursing program. However, I found this website: Top 5

just called the nursing department. They said the orientation emails might go out later today or sometime this week.
