Hello everyone, so I just received an E-mail from MT sac and I was selected as a Candidate and now I have to set up an appointment with a Nursing counselor to confirm all my information including transcripts etc.
Here is the email in quotes
"Dear Applicant,
You have been selected as a candidate for the Nursing Program at Mt. San
Antonio College. You now need to make a Counseling Appointment in our
counseling center. The counseling center is in the student services
building (9B on the map) and they are located on the second floor. To make
your appointment you will call the counseling center at (909)274-4380. It
is very important that you identify yourself as a student candidate for the
nursing program. The appointments will begin on March 31, 2015 and end on
April 30, 2015. Your appointment will be with one of the following
counselors or educational advisors:
This is a verification appointment and you need to have official copies of
all of your transcripts with you when you come to your appointment. If you
have earned credits at Mt. SAC we do not need an official copy of this
transcript. You must also show proof of high school graduation or the
equivalent. If you have previously earned a degree (associate's or
bachelor's), and the degree is posted to your transcript, you will not need
to show proof of high school graduation. You will also need to show proof
of eligibility to enroll in MATH 71 Intermediate Algebra. Completion of a
higher-level math course will also meet this requirement. If you have
specific questions before your appointment you may contact the nursing
educational advisor, Kathleen Clarke, at [email protected].
If your transcripts are verified, you will be notified if you will be
accepted to the Fall 2015 semester.
Sincerely,
Mt. San Antonio Nursing Program"
now my question is has anyone else received this letter? Does this mean IM pretty much in the Nursing program???? Im so anxious .anyone else?
Thank you,
-Steve
@L84martinez, I read this whole thing.. did you get into the program- or the other one you applied to? How's it going? :)
How is the program goin for all you guys/future nurses?
Can you or someone tell me.. when I apply to other adn programs at other colleges, do I also have to send my Mt. Sac transcript to all of those other colleges too??
& If so, what's the best way- how did you do that? By mail.. or do I make an appointment with counselors at those schools..? Thanks so much if you can get back to me.
Nevermind on the transcript question, guys :) I figured it out lol.
I have another question though.. To the people that applied to both Mt. Sac & Rio Hondo- how did you manage your time studying for both the HESI .. & also the TEAS at the same time?? & which books did you study from?? I would appreciate any & all advice!
Alina I applied in February 2016 as well. I've been checking my email like twice a day every day for the last month and I still haven't heard anything from MT Sac. I scored an 87% on my HESI and im like in the low 80s in over all criteria points so hopefully thats enough to get me into the program cuz I really want to go to MT Sac. How well did you do on you HESI?
so i know i posted this yesterday morning about not hearing from mt sac but i check it again and they had replied to me yesterday morning i guess i just checked my email literally right before they email me. they said i was a potential candidate and that i need to make a counseling appointment with them so that they can verify my documents and then go from there. My guess is that I have a decent chance of getting in now. Im a CNA and most of my nursing friends at the hospital I work at tell me that I should be ok and will probably get in. I holding off the celebration till I find out for sure and at the same time I feel pretty good about my chances with MT SAC. Hopefully youve heard from MT SAC too Alina and good luck
