Mt. SAC nursing program Spring 2010

Hi, has anyone received their orientation packet for Spring 2010 for Mt. SAC's nursing program?:imbar

I was told that we would not receive it until January, although that does not sound right.

I called the nursing dept today and they said maybe in about 2 weeks the packets should go out...but i was told that in the beginning of November to so I'm not sure whats going on.

Just curious...does this mean the Spring 2010 class has already been selected?

I applied during October and still haven't heard anything back. I'm not too hopeful about getting in this spring (since I was given the impression the list is already full for Spring) but stranger things have happened.

Thanks for any info.

Yea the class has been selected already...you should be getting a letter soon letting you know what number you are. I applied last October 2008 and received a letter I think in Feb saying what number I was. I called the nursing dept and gave them the number I was given and they were able to tell me approx. when I would be in. The acceptance letters were sent out for 2010 Spring in Oct. but I know that the dept is really behind in getting their stuff out so it might be later then Feb to find out what number you are. Good luck!!!

hello i just got my acceptance letter from mt st marys college today you should be getting the acceptance or denial letters before christmass that is what they told me

o srry i thought this was for mt marys well anyways good luck to u all

I am with you on this. I also applied Oct 2009 and got nothing. Seems like the ppl on the wait list got bumped up and are already in the spring 2010 class but what about the lucky first "60"? I was told the first 60 gets in and the rest is all wait list. SO does that mean by now I am not the Spring 2010 class and have to wait for my #? Hmm... I need to know because I am an alternate for RCC spring 2010. I rather wait for Mtsac...but the problem is I don't know my number.

Let me know Justwaiting!

Mt Sac accepts 96 students.....last fall they accepted 105 since some of the students defer for spring, 2010 or for whatever reason they decide not to attend.

SO it's 60 from the new applicants (lottery) and then about 30-ish from the wait list?

There is a wait time between 1 to 2 semesters per group, which means if u applied in sep. 2009 you might get in fall 2010.....doesn't mean you can't get in spring 2010 its just less likely. It all depends on the lottery number you receive and when you applied. :D

Has anyone taken the HESI test before for Mt. sac? I am supposed to take it jan 8th and I am nervous about taking it.

Good luck Crisp. Don't be nervous. It's not as difficult as you think.
