Mt Sac nursing fall 2017

Hi guys,

I submitted my application to Mt. Sac nursing program for the fall 2017 application period.

I have yet to see a thread on this particular application period for Mt. SAC so I hope many more join this thread. I'll be posting any updates on here, hopefully others will also contribute to their experience or updates on their process.

Hi Liz! Thanks for sharing that information. Did the counselor mention how they rank the applicants if they have the same amount of points? I know some schools rank applicants by number of units completed.

Hey! The same amount of points are ranked by the date you submitted the application. For example, submitting the application the first week of January would put you ahead of someone who submitted it the second week in January.

I'm so curious to know about the clinical hours/schedule!

I read on other posts that Monday is lecture from 7 am to around 3 pm. I believe they give you the choice between T/W clinicals or F/S. Seems like a good schedule!

I've had some nervous energy today, so I decided to do a little busy work. I went through an old class schedule from last fall. This is an example of what our schedule could be for the entire program. These days could change, but I thought it would be nice to take a look at what we are in for the next two years of our lives haha. If anyone sees something that doesn't look right please make a comment. Hope everyone is having a good day!

That's awesome. Hopefully things haven't changed much. Is Mt sac running your background check now or will that be done in June?

That would be wonderful! I'm trying to figure out childcare.i had my counseling appointment today and she didn't know any info about the schedule. She did say that another student told her that your clinical site was based on registration date/time, so the earlier your registration the better the chance of getting what you want. Also orientation is the week of June 19 from 8-4.

I`m also trying to figure out how childcare for my 4 year old daughter. That part is stressing me the most.

They didn't mention anything about that at the appointment, maybe once we they send the final email for our acceptance in May is when they will let us know about that.

they give all the info on background checks and physical's at orientation! í ½í¸Š

Yes I have! They have a really nice child care center.
