Good evening everyone,

I didn't see a thread for potential Mt sac nursing students applying for Fall 2018. Since, I am from Northern California I think this is the best way for me to connect with the others who are applying.

How many points are you applying with ?

Do you know how we're supposed to show/bring proof of eligibility for Math 71? My guess is to print out our MAP (Mountie Academic Plan)?

Hmm that's a good idea. I would imagine they could also tell from your transcripts.

Hi I was wondering this as well. How do I proove I am eligible to take math 71? I am currently taking stats 1 and not at mt sac. I got a letter from my college stating I'm enrolled in stats 1 which has 3 years of high school algebra as the pre-req and or essentials of algebra and trigonometry as the pre req. however I'm unsure if it will be enough. Is there a way to find this out before I fly out to LA? I guess I could call them but there is no email listed to where I can attach the actual letter

I got the email as well. It was in my spam folder! I have a question. The email states" This is a verification appointment. Therefore, you must have official sealed copies of all of your transcripts with you when you come to your appointment. If you have earned credits at Mt. SAC, we do not need an official copy of this transcript." Does that mean that if we took all our classes and earned all of our credits at Mt. Sac, we do not need an official transcript? :D

Hey everyone I also applied to Mt. SAC's Nursing Program for fall 2018. I basically submitted my application on the last day because I was waiting on a few things. Got the email yesterday asking me to schedule a counseling appointment.

To answer the post above, if all your classes were taken at Mt. SAC then you would not need official transcripts since they can just look them up.

I would call the nursing department to make sure. The email says that "Completion of a higher-level math course will also meet this requirement." Math 71 is intermediate algebra and I'm assuming Stats is a higher level math course. I would just call to be safe.

Hey everyone!

I applied to the program with 87 points. I also got my email yesterday and have my appointment this Friday. I'm praying my transcripts get here in time. Good luck to you all!

Hi thank you so much. Yes stats is a higher level math course! I contacted them and they referred me to a counselor who emailed me "this should work for our nursing program because stats is equivalent to math 110."
