MSU Denver ANO 2017 Start

Published

Hi everyone! Is anyone thinking of applying for the Jan 2017 start at Metro for the accelerated program? I can't seem to find any recent posts about this.

This is the first nursing program I applied to and I am SO nervous! What about you guys? I'm from Mass but I'm moving to CO shortly. My first bachelors is in psychology, and I took most of my pre-reqs at Simmons College where I did my undergrad. I hear lots of great things about this program :)

This is my first program I have applied to, and the only school I am going to apply to for this year. I am super nervous too!

Ooh, I'm only applying to this program too. I like how it's longer than other accelerated programs, so we can have more time with the material. It's gonna be a long two months waiting to hear back. Are any of you guys thinking about going for NP?

Has anyone started hearing back yet?? I keep having dreams that I've been accepted but then I wake up and get super disappointed lol.

I haven't heard anything yet! The website says we will hear back in the middle of November. It would be awesome if it was earlier though.

I've heard it could be from mid-October to early November. I'm sure this could change with the amount of applicants going up though. Has anyone heard if having pre-reqs in progress hurts you at all? They say they take the current grade to compute your admission ranking, but I'm wondering if it is really seen as strongly as someone who has already finished the class.

That would be amazing if it was in October! I am not sure if having pre reqs in progress hurts you. It seems like it is a very specific point system, so I wouldn't think it would hurt you since it's not part of the point system.

Yeah I'm curious about that too considering I have one pre-req in progress, but will be at least 50% done by October 15th as per the requirements. Strummer, what do you mean by the amount of applicants going up?

Oh I don't know for sure, it just seems like the amount of applicants keeps going up every year. Didn't mean to scare ya!

It's ok, waiting for decision letters is just a scary time

It is such a scary time! I get so worried that I some how messed up the application or something. Haha it will be over soon

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but from previous threads it looks like they started hearing round October 16th..
