I am looking for input regarding msn programs that are reasonable in cost, online, require no GRE, and are accredited. I have been out of school for 17 years and want to get my masters so I can mainly keep current in nursing practice, and get away from bedside nursing as I age. Honestly I am kind of scared to go back to school but know I can do it if I pick the right program. I have been thinking Liberty online, but how to pick from a million online programs????

What type of degree are you looking for? I didn't think there were all online NP programs- if they are you at least have to have clinical rotations in local setting.
Be careful with these for profit schools. We recently had a new graduate NP from one of these programs and her lack of clinical practice was so deficient that we set her up with a bedside nursing job so she could learn basics- she not even close to being proficient enough to practice as an NP.
I don't want to pursue np. I'm thinking more on the business or IT side of nursing.

A friend of mine did the Liberty online MSN with a view to doing a post-master's NP afterwards. He never did do the post-master's but now works as a nurse manager in a CVICU. He said the program was just fine. I trained this kid when he was a nursing assistant lol. Here I am still in NP school.....
