Hi applicants, I didn't see a topic yet for Mount Saint Mary's Fall 2021 ABSN program, so I made one!
Hey Everyone!
I'm super excited at the prospect of attending MSMU, even with the sticker shock (eek.) It's such a beautiful school. My stats are:
Undergrad: 3.8 - Screenwriting
Pre-reqs: 4.0 (science); I think I got a B+ on one or two of those LACE pre-reqs, but I can't recall.
Experience: CNA with 2 years experience; birth/post-partum doula for 2 years before that.
@RN2022goals - That's amazing your friend was able to pay it off so quickly!!
@derangel I also didn't get any updates from msmu! I checked my spam email too LOL
@RN2022goals I think it depends on each year. Seeing from past forums some received admission news in late May and some in middle of June !
I got the same email about the application status update on Tuesday. Email said there won't be any interviews this year and they hope to release admission results beginning of May.
I was counting on the interview for extra points but I guess it's good news that they'll have the results out in May and not in June!
Does anybody know if they do waitlist? I think some people on this forum already got accepted to other programs and moved on. Did anyone withdraw their application?
Is the math exam still happening?!

I called yesterday and they said that next week the decision will be sent. I thought till after I got off the phone to ask if it will be via email or mail. Does anyone know? Fingers crossed we all get in.
Hi, so from what I read in past forums, I believe acceptance is via email and rejection is via mail.
I also got a rejection mail two years ago around this time. I haven't read anywhere where people got mail acceptance letter but who knows what's going to happen for this year.

Hey @Future_Nurse_Michael
You're scores are great! Its making me nervous to even apply haha! But yea I am pretty scared of the tuition as well. I know a friend who went too but she went a few years ago and the tuition wasn't 80K. But she definitely was able to pay it in 2 years so thats good right? I think it helps that the clinical sites are around LA which are really good hospitals so it may be easier to apply to post grad. I think that is a really big PRO that kind of outweighs the con (tuition).
Also congrats on your interview with CSULA! Do you know what the clinical sites are at CSULA?
