MSMC ABSN Fall 2014

I'm anxiously waiting to hear anything back from the school other than the fact that my application is in review.

Ok so I'm making the group extremely private unless anyone has objections, I figured we could keep it private now and change it later. I will need to invite you in so if you feel comfortable leaving your name on this forum please do :). I'm pretty sure you have the option to delete it after... I'm not all that savy with fb so if anyone wants to take over or has a better idea please please please do!!

Congratulations everyone! I am so happy for you all! You are all wonderful and will be fantastic nurses :) I unfortunately did not get in or even receive an interview but that's okay because I was accepted to other programs and will be moving to DC to attend George Washington University. I will miss cali though-it's my home!

I just wanted to post "stats" for prospective students. I too was obsessing over this when researching ABSN programs. So here is a profile for a candidate who was not accepted to the program.

3.65 bachelors in environmental/Geo studies from UCLA

missed 3 on my math test

Volunteered at the hospital for 3 years and junior blind of America for one year (worked with children with disabilities)

A's in all my pre-reqs (although at the time of application I had Micro and Physio in progress, also I submitted my final grades a week before they started interviews) and If accepted I was planning on taking ethics and philosophy during the summer

Hope this is helpful for those looking to apply in summer..

Congrats I'm happy for all of you and can't wait for orientation day!!!!!! I'm chickening out on making the fb group but if anyone else wants to do it I'll join!! We have a list of instructions we need to get done prior to orientation day on the 18th, anyone know where and how to access this list on the portal account?
