I have been a nurse for almost two years, and my wife is relocating to Mckinney Texas, can someone suggest a great hospital to work for in this area or close by, and what would is the going rate for a nurse with less than two years experience. I work in Critical Care.
Thank you So Much.

Centennial Frisco (tenet hospital) is supposed to be a very good place to work. It is only a few years old with modern equipment. It is an easy commute from McKinney, right off 121 and Coit (I think).
There is an HCA hospital in McKinney, Medical Center of McKinney. Having worked there, I cannot recommend that place as a good place to work. However, I undersand that McKinney will have a new Baylor Hospital in a couple of years; so, applying to Baylor Plano or Allen (the closest of the list goven to McKinney) could land your wife a transfer, when the hospital is completed.
Presby Denton might be too far of a drive. Medical City (HCA) and Presby Dallas are off of 75 and about 5 minutes away from each other. It could take your wife 45 minutes to drive from McKinney to there, during normal business hours. And, Parkland can be done, but may be 1 to 1.5 hour drive during rush hours.
One decent ICU, not mentioned, is Doctor's Hospital, near White Rock Lake (tenet hospital). Have worked there also, I would certainly recommend it as the best of the hospital's around for working conditions. The drive could be 50 minutes during rush hour.
I almost forgot, another good place to work would be Richardson Regional Medical Center. Have worked there and found the staff conditions good, paying slightly higher that the other hospitals. The commute would be around 20-30 minutes during rush hour; but, it is closer than Medical City.
Pay for around 2 years experience would be around $23.00/hour without differentials.
