Hi! I am applying to Mountain view`s Adn program. I'm curious to know how many people are applying and how many points you have? This program is new so there aren't many blogs available. Anyone who was accepted last semester feel free to give any tips. Thanks in advance.
MVC has 4 pre reqs: eng 1301, math 1314, bio 2401, psych 23015 suppport courses: bio 2402, bio 2420, patho 1311, pharm 1301, humanities/fine arts
I wish they would drop that math requirement like El Centro did, lol.
Ill do anything to get out of taking math. I asked them if they would accept Stats instead of math but they said NO. Luckily their deadline is April 14, i think. So that gives extra time to complete classes.
Do you have STAT? If so was it easy? I need to take that. Algebra kicked my ass. Then I made 79 was soooo made he didnt go ahead and give me a C. Yes april 14 is their deadline. Idk if I should apply or not. Im taking micro this spring and patho and pharm during summer so I wont get those pts by deadline
i have point system and other info if you need/want it
that would be great:) my email is [email protected] I really appreciate it
Hi I'm also trying to apply for the nursing program at mountain view but until fall 2014. I have 14 points right now but I haven't taken the HESI exam and I'm taking pharmacology and pathophysiology until this spring coming up, I was planning to apply to the nursing program when I was done with those 2 classes but the nursing coordinator told me to go ahead and apply already because it's going to be harder if I wait. I'm worry that i won't have enough points and I wanted to ask you what did you do when you didn't get accepted?

I wonder why she said it would get harder if you wait? I have everything BUT HESI (im taking in May) Micro(currently taking), and pharm and patho so I can not
apply obviously since cut off is April. After May I will have completed the HESI and MIcro. I guess I will take Pharm and Patho over Summer and apply next year ((

Nevermind I see now. It's frustrating that all the dcccd nursing programs have different Pre and Co requisites. MVC doesn't need speech and lifespan psych, hprs or chem. Looks like a great program for people who live nearby
