Mountain View College Spring 2021

Hello everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for Spring 2021 applicants at Mountain View College. I wasn’t able to find one only for fall 2020. I have followed old threads and I believe it has been very helpful with questions and guidance for some. Feel free to post and ask questions. Applications are due on the 28th, good luck to EVERYONE!?

Check your junk mail as it might have gone there.  Nothing to worry about. It just said that they received 200 applications and they will be accepting 60 students.  They still working through the applications and will let us know as soon as possible. Oh and they also said a lot of people are missing documents in their applications so look out for an email and respond to it as soon as possible.

Hello everyone! so glad to have found this! The wait has been killing me. Good to know everyone has been getting the same info for the most part. I had to email them Wednesday I was getting nervous, but at least they let me know my application was complete and chosen for an interview. So I guess I'm just waiting to schedule for the interview.

Congrats on being chosen. So question what was your GPA for the prerequisites and HESI score. Did you complete all the extra courses that give you extra points?

I hope you all are doing well and staying safe. We have received your application and the applications are being reviewed. This semester I will be accepting 60 students to the nursing program at Dallas College Mountain View Campus. Please do not send questions regarding admissions at this time because we will contact you with all updates once the application review process is completed. We had nearly 200 applications this semester. Also, many of you are missing important items in your applications. You will be receiving emails from various staff from Dallas College MV team. It is imperative that you follow up with the requests and respond immediately. You will also receive an email from Identigo which is a division of the Texas Board of Nursing requiring you to get your fingerprints done. Once the fingerprints are completed, the board of nursing will send you a blue card or a letter that you must keep until you find out if you were accepted in to the nursing program. You must meet the deadlines as they are requested or your application will not be considered. More information to follow. Always, your communication is key. If you decide to withdraw your application, please let me know as soon as possible so that you can be removed from the applicants and email list. Thanks again for applying to our program.

My GPA for the Pre-reqs was 3.0 I believe, my cumulative score for the HESI was 90. And yes I completed pharm, and micro also.

Margaret, what email did you get your blue card from?

Hi Karla

I did my blue card with a previous college. They had us do it before we were even accepted.  I also did it through Indigo the same company they talked about in the email. I emailed them my blue card to see if I can use it.  I got accepted by another school but I really want to go to MVC as that is my first choice and it is closer to me.  I hope they let us know soon as I need to give up my spot at other school to whoever is on the waiting list can get the spot.

Hi Margret,

    Does the blue card has to do with group one receipt or what does the blue card look like? I am just curious?
