MOUNTAIN VIEW COLLEGE NURSING Spring 2022

Published

Hello everyone! I am new to all nurses in hopes to reach people who are applying at Mountain View College for Spring 2022, or other dcccd nursing programs (brookhaven, el centro, and north lake). I see that previous students have created a thread, and it seems to have been very helpful for them. Please reply if you are going to apply to one of these, we can help each other out in the process!

Sorry for so many questions, but where did you guys go for your physicals? Having a hard time finding a good one that’s not too expensive.

Don’t be sorry for asking questions! I got my physical at a clinic (MD medical clinic) but my insurance covered it I’m not sure how much it would be there ?

Okay, I'll look into it! I know that I'm applying late due to me waiting for my positive titer to come back but I emailed the MVC nursing email and I haven't heard anything back for the past two days. How long did it take for them to respond back to you guys?

Sorry I just saw this! Don’t worry you still have a week to get your titer in in case you haven’t already. For me they responded the next day. Have you heard back from them yet?

Yea I got my positive titer back ! And nope, I still haven’t heard anything from them and it’s been 5 days. I made sure I had the right email address too. [email protected] right?

Yay! I wonder why.. I just know that they reviewed my application and said this. Maybe they have received a lot and aren’t done reviewing each one?

Well I haven’t submitted mines yet because I had a question but I might as well just submit it and see what she says.  Thanks though !

Best of luck!! (:

To you as well !

I graduated from the nursing program at Mountain View. It's a great program and you'll be well prepared to take and pass the NCLEX by the end of it.

Good luck! ?

Thanks! My best advice sounds cliched but I truly mean it: if you find you are struggling with content or understanding NCLEX style questions- whether this is during Fundamentals or Med Surg, do not be afraid to ask your professors for help. Do not wait until the last minute or when you are near failing to speak up. They genuinely want to see you succeed. Also, utilize the skills lab, take the time to practice your skills, so you pass your check offs the first time.
