Mountain State Unniversity

Published

Currently looking into Mountain State University. If anyone is currently a student or a recent graduate, I would love to hear from you regarding your experiences. I have noticed some old threads (3+ years old but very helpful), but I would feel more comfotable hearing from someone more recent.

Thanx

Specializes in Trauma ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU.

Hey, I've heard MSU is having problems passing their boards, and I know one hospital down the creek wont hire you if you graduated from there because they believe they are unsafe. Just hearsay, but something to think about, I mean really, how good can an ONLINE CRNA program really be? Hate for you to go to school all that time and not accomplish your goals in the end because of a sub-par teaching institution.

thanks for the heads-up

Absolutely NO part of the Mountain State University Program is "online".

Get the story straight.:angryfire

jaymz,

Are you a student there? If not, read there web-site. It clearly says "a combination of distance learning.....", and it says "most lectures via cd". So, what's the difference?!!!!!

What's Unique About the MSU Program?

  • Combination of on-site/distance learning. The MSU program is the first anesthesia program in the country to offer this particular model of distance learning combined with practical clinical experience. Students will attend on-site labs, discussion groups, workshops, and simulations experience in 3-4 day blocks every 3-4 weeks. Most lectures will be delivered on CDs, and most other interactions with the faculty will be assigned, delivered, and graded via the Internet.
