This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for 2010 entry.
This is my second application for admission since I wasn't offered admission for Fall 2009. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Spring 2010? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay Area (also turned down twice to 2 programs for Fall 2009 entry). They wont be sending out admission offers until February for March start dates!! Would love to hear from fellow nursing school hopefuls )
Paul- are you of the frame of mind that if u don't get into fall 2010 you'll reapply for the may 2011 cohort so the bioethics class u took isn't a complete waste. If the timeline that one of te msmc students said is true and they aren't interviewing us until end of June, that doesn't give us much time to complete the course ;(.... Just trying to rationalize whether I should start the class bc idk if they give u a refund if your in progress.
I have 3 months to finish the class, which should be more than enough. (Last night, I dreamt that I wasn't accepted to MSMC). If I don't get in this time, I'm definitely going to reapply for may. Since I have two courses in progress, its likely that I won't be accepted this time around.
Paul- When do you finish your classes? I am in the exact same boat as you. I think that is kind of crappy if they accept people with other classes IP but not their sciences. They should really tell people to not apply if they have courses IP if they don't accept anyone that does. It would sure save everyone the sweat and anxiety shed over this whole process. UGH!

they do accept people who still had classes in progress. our class had a good number of people who still had classes pending up until the week before classes started!!
dont give up. they're doing ADN interviews now so they should probably be starting the ABSN interviews soon.
