This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for 2010 entry.
This is my second application for admission since I wasn't offered admission for Fall 2009. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Spring 2010? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay Area (also turned down twice to 2 programs for Fall 2009 entry). They wont be sending out admission offers until February for March start dates!! Would love to hear from fellow nursing school hopefuls )
I'm so glad someone posted on allnurses. I am reapplying too. Are they doing interview letters this time around? They did emails last time so I just wanted to make sure.
They always choose the worst times for the most suspenseful part. Good luck to everyone with finals and this application process.

What do you mean they are doing an interview letter? Did they send letters telling people they had an interview or did they send interview questions in a letter/email? Sorry I just don't understand the wording.
Did you ask why you didn't get in last time around and how to make your application stronger? I wasn't surprised b/c I still had a few classes in progress but this time around I only have one class in progress so hopefully I get better news this time around. Good luck!!!
Sorry for the confusion. I meant were they sending out interview requests through the post mail or sending the requests through email. I guess it doesn't really matter what method the request comes in. I'm still nervous.

I am nervous too. I also was denied admission last time I applied. Do you know how many applications they received? I think they only have 45 spots. I also applied to Samuel Merritt in the Bay Area. They sent an email out yday saying they received over 350 applications for 145 spots!!! They aren't getting back to people until March 1!! Good luck and keep me posted and I will keep you posted to .
I hear crickets. Anyone hear anything yet??? I'm trying to get ready for finals this week, but I am constantly checking my email, the website, as well as the mailbox. NOTHING!

I haven't heard anything yet either. I just took one final today, in Chemistry and I have 2 left. Good luck with your finals. Hopefully we will hear some good news this week!!! Positive thoughts.....ommmmmm!!!!
It sounds like we're all in the same waiting-for-interviews boat! So nerve-racking! Has anyone asked if they have an idea of when final decisions will be made? I looked at threads from previous years and it looks like people didn't hear until early to mid January. I'm wondering if they're planning on sticking with the same timeline or if they expect it to be later this time around?
Has anyone checked their WebAdvisor account and seen in a change? The last thing I have is from 11/5/09 saying that my credits were being advised. Nothing else since.

I check webadvisor often to see if there are any changes but nothing since 11/17 where it says "advising" I have no idea when they notify us. According to "Sugarlips" we should be getting interview letters in the next week or 2 but that was last week and it appears no one in this forum has received anything. It would make sense we wont hear anything until after the holidays. Some schools, like Samuel Merritt, with a Nov 1 deadlines wont even begin notifying anyone until March!! And others, like NYU, notify within weeks - even before the application deadline!!! I guess we just have to be patient. )
