This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for Summer 2014 entry.
This is my first application for admission to MSMC ABSN program; though, I was accepted for admission to their ADN program. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Summer 2014? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I haven't applied anywhere else; however, MSMC is my first and only choice.
Does anyone have any information as to when they will be sending out interviews/admission offers? I hear it's until February for May start dates!! Also, I received this email on January 10 regarding the Nursing Basic Math Test:
Dear Applicant,
We would like to thank you for your application to our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for the Summer 2014 cohort.
In an effort to assist you in completing the application process and assist us in determining who our most qualified applicants are, we are asking that every qualified applicant take our Nursing Basic Math Exam.
Students must past the Nursing Basic Math Exam with a grade of 100% in order to begin the program, so please diligently prepare for this exam. All students, regardless of entry level or previous successful completion of a college level math course, must take this test.
The Nursing Basic Math Exam does not affect your admissibility into the program. If an applicant does not receive 100% on the Nursing Basic Math Exam and is admitted into the program, they will be offered the opportunity to remediate and retest in late April before the program begins......

Hi guys so I have been accepted into the summer cohort for this program but do you guys know if we can defer our acceptance to Fall 2014 instead of the Summer 2014?
Hey guys! I applied for the Fall 2014 Accelerated BSN program. How long after you applied did you receive an email regarding the Math test and interview. Just wanted to get a time frame so I am not checking my email every hour lol
I also applied to MSMC ABSN Fall '14... I haven't heard anything yet. Hoping someone will respond to your thread with more info. What I do know, from contacting the school, is that they will mail acceptance/rejection letters out in June. Fingers crossed...
Hi Tori87! I applied for Summer 2014. Applications were due October 15. I received an email to take the math test on December 4th, however missed the email initially because it went into the Promotions section of my Gmail and I did not see it in time (make sure you check this section if you have gmail just in case). I rescheduled to take the math exam with other applicants on January 17th. I then received an email for an interview on January 21st and found out I was accepted about 4 or 5 days after i had my interview. I hope this helps with your time frame and good luck with everything!
