This is a new thread for anyone that has applied to the Mount St. Mary's College Accelerated BSN program in Los Angeles for Summer 2014 entry.
This is my first application for admission to MSMC ABSN program; though, I was accepted for admission to their ADN program. Did anyone hear anything back yet for Summer 2014? Is there an interview process? I have read conflicting information on this topic. I haven't applied anywhere else; however, MSMC is my first and only choice.
Does anyone have any information as to when they will be sending out interviews/admission offers? I hear it's until February for May start dates!! Also, I received this email on January 10 regarding the Nursing Basic Math Test:
Dear Applicant,
We would like to thank you for your application to our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for the Summer 2014 cohort.
In an effort to assist you in completing the application process and assist us in determining who our most qualified applicants are, we are asking that every qualified applicant take our Nursing Basic Math Exam.
Students must past the Nursing Basic Math Exam with a grade of 100% in order to begin the program, so please diligently prepare for this exam. All students, regardless of entry level or previous successful completion of a college level math course, must take this test.
The Nursing Basic Math Exam does not affect your admissibility into the program. If an applicant does not receive 100% on the Nursing Basic Math Exam and is admitted into the program, they will be offered the opportunity to remediate and retest in late April before the program begins......

Thank you all for answering! Good Luck to you all! I got anxious and posted too quickly and didn't check my junk mail, which is where I found my interview invitation yesterday (Thursday) night. My interview is scheduled for Friday morning.
Hi There everyone! I will write more at a latter time.
Here's some 411 to share: "We would like to invite you in for an interview with a member of the ABSN faculty commencing the week of January 20th through January 24th. We may have additional days available in the early part of the last week of the month but our focus is to complete the majority of interviews by January 24, 2013. The interview will take approximately 15 minutes."
If my memory is correct, they said they'd notify applicants who made it starting in early February.
Hello my potential classmates:). I was interviewed this morning. Staff as usual were very friendly, and they make you feel comfortable. My interview was approximately 5 min (I am not sure if it's good or bad:sarcastic:). So, all we can do now is to wait for our results.
Thanks for the update. My interview was today and I have to agree, the staff were all very nice. My interview was short and to the point. Nothing out of the ordinary; though, I did ask if having a class in progress would disqualify me from being accepted. I was told that all classes needed to be completed by the start of the Summer semester. So for those wondering, I guess the answer is "no".

Hi friends! For those of you that interviewed today, did you hear whether or not they were still on track to send out decision letters by the end of next week?
I believe they are still conducting interviews next week. I would imagine that decisions for acceptance will be mailed out by early February. Though, I think they post their decision on WebAdvisor which may come soon than the letter.
Hi everyone! I had my interview today and she said that the bulk of the interviews would be done today and everything should be wrapped up by Wednesday. So now we wait... To those that still have to interview I wish you all the best of luck! Have a great weekend everyone :)
