Mount Sinai NYC New Grad

Updated:   Published

I am a new grad and have been applying for all I can at the hospitals in NYC. I recently got a call from HR to interview with a nurse manager at Mount Sinai in an ICU. I did not have a screening interview or anything else with HR. It is also for a part time position... has anyone else been offered a position like this as a new grad? I have no ICU experience also. I am very anxious to see how the interview goes, and obviously would love to negotiate to full time. Thanks!

Which campus did you get interviewed for? Amazing that a new grad got a position in the ICU. I’m sure you will learn a lot. Is there base pay still $49? Are you part of NYSNA? Do you have the schedule of differentials they provide to you? I’m curious to see if they’ve changed it since I interviewed years ago. Thanks!

Do you currently work at Mt Sinai? Any input on how long it takes to get hired? I interviewed 2 weeks ago and the manager asked me to obtain a certification and to send her two letters of recommendation. I did that and she said she received it but hasn't said anything else

I never took the offer

gotcha'. How long for you to get the offer though?

I have friends that work for Mount Sinai. Some waited weeks and others waited months.

Hi guys,

I’m a new grad who recently just got their license. It's been super hard to get interviews with all the covid hiring freezes! I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share mount Sinai recruiter info with me. I have applied to job with them but I know the freeze is slowing things down. So I would really appreciate if anyone can private msg me some potential resources at Mount Sinai! Thanks in advance!

Same position as above...It would be great to connect with a recruiter at Mt. Sinai. Anyone have a contact? TIA

Hi!

Any new grads of 2020 who got any updates about Mt. Sinai's hiring recently?

Hey! Can I ask about your hiring process? Were you hired after applying online or did you have someone refer you? I've been applying and really want to get hired there. Some of my applications aren't in consideration anymore but some are still "under review". It's been months so I'm not sure if I should continue waiting for those specific positions or if the applications are even being updated. thanks

I applied to a bunch of position, the recruiter   who contacted me asked me if I was interested on a stepdown/ICU position. Some of my application still say under review. I don’t think they really keep up with switching them. My advice to you is to keep applying. Good luck!

Hey! You can adjust the filter settings under the website's search bar and choose specific hospitals under the dropdown "brands". sometimes their posting has initials like MSQ which is mount sinai queens. hope this helps

Hey! Can I ask what the ICU/stepdown position was? How long after applying did you get contacted? Do you also have the name of the recruiter? Just want a reminder on who to lookout for and to get an idea at who reviews my applications btw not really looking for their email or phone number! thanks so much and hope to hear back
