Hi, I've created a forum for all prospective students for the Fall 2024 ABSN applicant pool at Mount Saint Marys University. The most recent forum I've seen are from students applying to the Summer 24' ABSN MSMU program. Feel free to submit questions and updates on the application process ? My application is currently "under review" 

Hi!! Me too! I'm in the same boat as you very excited but also very nervous. I think the best thing to do is plan but not over rehearse your answers because you still want to sound genuine.

also... PLEASE HELP! Has anyone had issues with logging into the Zoom for the interview? I tried to click on the link provided just to test it and it said the link does not exist. I'm worried I won't be able to join on Monday and the timing of it makes me feel like I won't be able to reach someone from the school in time to get the information sent to me again. Does anyone have any experience with this? Do they send another confirmation email prior to the scheduled interview?

Hi Noelle, not sure if you were able to figure out the issue you had with the link yet but I would suggest texting the director of nursing admission. She might be able to help you and she responds in a timely manner. Your last resort would be to reschedule your appointment to a different time/day and see if the new link works. I had my interview this past week and prior to that I don't remember my link saying it was invalid.

Also, a day before your interview they will send you a reminder email with the same link.

I'm in the current ABSN program don't get me wrong some professors don't know how to teach but that happens at every college not just nursing school. Yes, there's a class almost every day or clinical but yet again they are trying to squeeze a 2-3 year degree into 1 year. Most professors are nice but won't teach you everything you need to know for the NCLEX so one has to do their own studying but that's every nursing program. If you want to get into the nursing field ASAP then yes this program is for you but if you are willing to wait months or years to get into a cheaper program at a CC or CSU then do it but just know it will take time!

Do classes take place at both campuses or in which campus do classes take place for ABSN students ?

Thank you so much! Yes I ended up rescheduling and I basically scheduled it back afterwards to the appointment time I wanted and the link now works. Thanks for the help and tips!

I received one a day after the interview. Yeah I'm not sure if everyone received one or not? I wonder if it's their way of choosing who they want LOL

Oh okay got it I think I'm getting ahead of myself then, I interviewed this morning. It makes sense that they'd interview all the candidates and then send out the email based on the list of people who attended. I feel like I'm overthinking and it's just an automatic email they send to all the interviewers. That makes the most sense 😂
