Hi Mashamontago,
Well, I just graduated the ADN program at the The Mount this month. Feels great!!! If I remember correctly, they give you guidelines regarding the personal statement. When writing your personal statement, just make sure you answer the questions within the body of the statement. For my personal statement I just basically told my story while answering the questions they wanted answers to.
Your GPA should be fine. I know they specifically look at the science portion of your GPA and weigh that apart from your other classes.(it helps to have done well in the sciences). I am sure you will do fine. Good luck !!!
hello kattie bug, congrats!anyway i have a question for you.. what was your gpa when you got into the adn program? how did you find housing? off or on campus? did you have any volunteer work in a medical center or do clubs tutoring? did you do anything extra to make your application stand out? hmm please help!
Mashamontago,
My GPA was around 3.8 when I started at The Mount, but many people got in with lower GPA's. No, I was not involved in any extra cirrucular activities. I worked full time all the was through the nursing program and I have two children also. It was tough, but not impossible. As far as housing, I live in the area, so I drove every day, but the housing on campus looks nice. I hope this helps you. Let me know if I can help you further.

I called admissions and they said the letters will go out sometime in mid-September im just so anxious to know if I got accepted or not, I have a question for you, "I have a assosicates in general studies, have taken critical thinking but i dont have a philosophy class is there anyway they would accept me into the advanced option if all I need is 1 class? Is there a good chance I will have to take the basic option?, and lastly how good of a sign is it if you got a interview? thanks!!!!!
