Mount Marty CRNA

Published

I am planning on applying to Mount Marty's CRNA program in South Dakota this year. Wondering if anyone is applying, in the program, or has gone through the program.

I have a question for the current students...how is the curriculum I didn’t see any classes listed for pediatric, OB, cardiovascular or neurological anesthesia are these intergrated somewhere? Also I chose Sioux Falls for my primary clinical and it’s a level 2 Trauma do you rótate to level 1 trauma facilities in your enrichment rotations? Do you feel prepared or well rounded so far with clinical experience? I’m trying to make a decision and I really need some help deciding! Help!

Those topics will be integrated into the Principles classes, as well as Physiology and Pathophysiology classes (at least cardio and neuro). You won't necessarily rotate to Trauma designated facilities (unless your rotations happen to be at a higher level center). The rotations focus more on types of cases that you might not see at your primary site - pediatrics, cardiac, rural practice... I can't speak for Sioux Falls as I am in Omaha - but I feel like my classmates are getting some good clinical experiences, but we are also only 3 months into our rotations. I feel that the didactic phase laid a great foundation for clinical and I feel like I am right where I should be 3 months in.

Do you think I could email you or send you a DM to ask you about the program? Im sure you're busy but I need to make a decision pretty soon thanks for the insight!

You bet - go ahead and send me a message!

I don't have 15 "quality post" so I can't private message! Is there any other I can't contact you? Your opinion is invaluable to me right now lol I need some real insight.

That stinks - I can't send messages either...

I don't really want my email out there in the open for anyone to get a hold of, so I'm not really sure how else to have you contact me... unless you want to give me your email and I will email you tomorrow (early clinical day tomorrow)...

No worries I understand ? here is my email [email protected] Thank you so much!

Has anyone received an actual rejection letter yet?

They gave us two weeks to accept or decline the spot (Dec 3) so I’m assuming after everyone does that they will send out final acceptance and rejection letters.

The person I know still waiting hasn’t received anything yet. He said he may call today.

Save your emails and phone calls. --------------------------- said

Thank you, I see that you’re trying to decide between programs. Good luck to you in your decision making progress and congrats on the acceptances!

Thank you for your response. Maybe you could update us if he does call?
