Published

I am planning on applying to Mount Marty's CRNA program in South Dakota this year. Wondering if anyone is applying, in the program, or has gone through the program.

Just curious if anyone has heard anything about anyone coming off the waitlist yet?

Still haven't heard anything so I'm going on with my life like I haven't been accepted off the waitlist.

I was notified today that I was taken off the waitlist. I GOT INTO CRNA SCHOOL!

CONGRATS man! I know it took you 2 years to get in you and I interviewed at some of the same schools! That’s great news man

??? Congratulations Cowboy Medic ! My son got me interested in this website and I would periodically check in over the last 3 years. I feel like I have gotten to know some of you, seen the nerves and anxiety of waiting for interview letters, rejections, waitlist, and acceptances. Be ready for an intenseness of studying the likes of which you’ve never seen. There will be weeks that you may eat with your family and then study into the night and all weekend too. Remember your fellow students are not competition now. Everyone will get good grades. Focus on building lifelong professional friendships and networks. Lastly when you get out in the work force, don’t forget who gave you the “Golden Ticket” of a great job and income! Support your university financially with donations so others lifelong wish of CRNA school can be granted. Best wishes to all of you. For those they did not get in keep trying.

Thank you for the kind words. It has been a long two years of applications and interviews. I was excited when I was waitlisted because I knew there was a chance but kept going as if I hadn't got in.

When I called my CRNA friend, who has been my source of shadowing, references, and general knowledge about the profession, she almost started balling because I finally got in.

I'm looking forward to the road ahead and I'll be proud to say that I'm a CRNA in a few years.

For people that have already been accepted, is there a facebook group or anything that has been set up to connect with current classmates? I officially got my offer email today and my clinical site of Omaha/Council Bluffs area.

The facebook groups for each of the current classes are private groups only. I am a 2nd-year student and would be happy to answer any questions you might have - my home clinical site is Omaha.

Nope, I’ve yet to see a facebook group for class of 2023

You guys will set up a facebook group the first time you meet in real life, alternatively one of you can make one and email Kristi and have her send it out to your class.

I sent in my acceptance letter and admission deposit this morning as well as an email the program. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in May as long as the COVID-19 pandemic clears up.
