motlow college spring 2017

Published

hi!! I just wanna ask a few questions about the nursing program in motlow (Tullahoma campus), so for those who finished their nursing degree there or currently going, hopefully, you ladies can help me. 1.) How often is the clinical? and does it happen on weekdays or weekends? the reason why it concerns me is because I work on weekends from Friday-Sunday , so I'm hoping that it occurs on weekdays. 2.) how much total does the nursing program cost per semester? because I'm planning on paying it out of my pocket. I'm 22 years old male, most people gets surprised when I tell them that I wanna be a nurse. I just wanna break the stereotype of being a nurse is a feminine job and that would me make me less of a man, and plus I just like helping people. SO if you beautiful random citizen have some other suggestions or things that I need to consider, please feel free to tell me,, thanks

1. What/where is Tullahoma?

2. Word to the wise: You are a nursing student, end of sentence. Learn to identify yourself as such. Self-identifying as "male nursing student" is unnecessary and potentially damaging. Your genitalia do not matter.

I know you asked quite a long time ago, but I'll answer anyway. I'm currently in the motlow nursing program (graduate in may, hopefully!) and as of right now (things may change because they have completely redone the way they schedule and group classes to make it easier for Tennessee promise students) 1) clinicals are usually on tuesdays, thursdays, or (rarely, maybe one clinical group) fridays. 2) the cost of tuition varies depending on how many credit hours you take per semester, but the cost of my tuition is around $3000 per semester. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Is there a separate list(non tn promise students, that they will choose from?

Thank you for reply! I have some more questions, I am preparing for the hesi exam this coming march, I haven't taken prerequisites or any college level courses, and I know that the selection occurs on April then orientation on may to June for the selected nursing students. The question is, is too late for me to get in this year? If it is then I guess I just have to go ahead and finish my general courses and then reapply for the next fall? Is thAt my best option? I really need answers
