Motlow 2019 applicants

Hello (: my name is Kyla

Just wondering if anybody else is applying to MSCC's 2019 nursing program? The application opens up in a couple of weeks and I have been pretty nervous...I have never applied to a nursing program before and I hear that it is pretty competitive. If anybody would like to share their experience(s) that would be awesome!

We made the same hesi score! Does the .20 matter when scoring?

@kzmmx Yes, plenty of my classmates are working through school. One in particular has a similar schedule - Fri/Sat/Sun. The only issue will be if you get a Saturday clinical. Just let the instructors know and I'm sure they will work with you. Keep in mind you will also have class and exams on Monday. She shows up pretty wiped out, but it can be done! #rndetermined!

I don't believe so. It adds like a .6 at the end so it will add a point or two to your total score I believe.

Which classes do they take into consideration for the GPA? I haven't taken micro or statistics yet so I think that will hurt my chances ?

The closer we get to the emails going out, the more nervous I am getting!!!!!!!! I CANNOT wait! haha Hope everyone is staying sane this week.

A&P 1 and 2, Microbiology, Comp 1, Statistics, General Psych, 1 guided elective (comp 2, lifespan psych, speech), and 1 guided humanity elective (art, music, theatre). I still haven’t taken micro either so it’s no big deal. It’s figured out on what your GPA was at the end of the fall 2018 semester.

I feel the SAME way! Every time I get a school e-mail my heart stops. I'm trying to brace myself just in case but I am also extremely excited/hopeful. I don't think I have ever been this anxious about anything in my life! I really really hope all of us get good news.

Are you are you sure? I’m pretty sure they calculate your gpa on the prerequisites that you’ve take.

Yes, it’s only on the nursing prerequisites. But it’s not going to have this semester (2019 spring) included in the calculation. The classes I listed are the classes used for the gpa. If you’re missing prerequisites, it’s not held against you.

Does anybody know if the acceptance/denial letters are sent out at the same time?
