Showing my age here- but we wore white, mid-calf dresses with these heinous pinafores that were two flat pieces of fabric which held together with buttons- like French cuffs. Every time you bent over,a button would pop off. We had a bonfire after graduation with those stupid pinafores. Oh, the whole thing was 100% cotton and you had to iron them-

I'm not sure how or why, but our horrid polyester uniforms wrinkle like no one's business. I've never spent so much time ironing in my whole life. I signed on for comfort, not ironing!

Hahaha, I lol'd.
You probably know that washing them several times on the longest cycle followed by liquid fabric softener might help; but I when I had to wear a stiff uniform with necktie I learned that it's more comfortable with a soft cotton undershirt. Hope this helps. Love your edit.
That is outragous! How can they get away with such a desperate attempt to bring money into the program? I know our class would have been raising some hell about that! Scrubs do not cost that much!!! Call Action 7 news. Students dont have that kind of money! Get the community involved to help raise funds for (?????) Whatever it is they need. What a scam!!!

Ugh! I have to vent! My university makes me buy these way overpriced scrubs! They charge $49.00 for a top, $49.00 for bottoms, tax and over $12 to ship! One uniform costs $119!!!!!! I am so outraged!
Not to mention they feel like cardboard so I can't bend over and reach stuff, and I can't wear make-up anymore because I sweat my face off since the material is so thick and non-breathable.
I would give anything to be comfortable in my scrubs. Not to mention be able to afford them. *sigh* Thanks for reading my rant. Tell me when I'm a real nurse I'll be able to buy comfortable scrubs.....
I don't suppose anyone has a discount code they'd like to share?
