morning sickness but not pregnant

Published

I have never been a morning person at all...ever since I started college, 2 years_ whenever I get up really early and start moving around I get soooo nauseas...I turn pale white, break out in a cold sweat, get dizzy and vomit. I usually work evening and night shifts but once I started a new job that started at 7am I would sleep a full C hours and be fine but then start working and this happens....and I'm not pregnant...its been happening for over 2 yrs.

I was just accepted to nursing school and will have to get up early for it and do clinicals very early....I'm afraid that it is going to mess up nursing school for me..anyone have any ideas why this is happening to me or what I can do about it?? Any help would be very much appreciated.

I would think this is something you should discuss with your physician, particularly since it is apparently a chronic condition.:twocents:

You could try go changing up your internal clock. Try going to bed hours earlier, keeping the house dark. Wake up early with all the lights on.

I might work.

Doesn't increased estrogen levels cause n/v? If you're on birth-control pills and take them at night before you go to bed, that might be the reason. Try switching to taking them mid-day or in the morning instead. Otherwise, try B6 and ginger capsules--they're supposed to work really well for nausea. Good luck!
