Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those who have applied to the moorpark nursing program for Fall admission! I've seen previous threads where people start receiving admission decisions in March so I thought it was appropriate time to start the thread since were reaching the end of February.

I completely understand! I am also trying to figure that out as well. My family wants me to not work the first semester to get a feel for the program, so I am hopeful to save up enough money to give myself that time to adjust. But I funded myself through my previous degree, so I know how that can be stressing. Best of luck in figuring out the workings of it. I will definitely be applying to those scholarships they talked about in the new student tea which at least could help out year 2!

I'm really glad you have your family's support! If you have it, definitely take it and adjust to the program for the first semester. Thank you!! I funded myself through my AA while living alone but recently moved in with friends to help me financially survive nursing school. Definitely going to keep applying to scholarships and working as much as I can.

Hey! They emailed us the courses, but I will put the Summer titles here. NS M10: Introduction to Patient Care Skills (CRN 59264). NS M16: Study Skills for Nursing Students (CRN 55980). These ones are offered year round and in Summer: NS M20 Pharmacology, NS M25 Basic Pathophysiology, NS M19 Medical Terminology.
How is everyone doing with the process so far? Is anyone taking the Summer courses? If so, which classes? How are you guys preparing for the start in August? Looking forward to hearing from you all! 🙂
Side note: The link for the uniform is not working. Is anyone else having the same issue?

I did not have a problem with the link just copy it into your browser as opposed to trying to click on it.
I taking one suggested class. It's like a refresher, but I don't recall the crn. It starts in July and is Zoom/in-person which is cool.
I'm just working on preparing for August by trying to get in the best place physically and mentally. A lot of anxiety coming up, but everyone I've talked to feels this way!!
don't forget to initiate the background check on Monday 06/17.
Good luck.....

The required textbooks are from section A and B
The books that are optional are under recommended text.

Option A is like 25$ worth of workbooks required from the student bookstore. B is a list of required texts you must get on your own. They did provide the link to publisher website for a discount on the first few on that list. But both A and B you must get. The only optional books are at the bottom. Recommended texts which are mostly study guides for the major books from list B. And then there is ATI to purchase for $670. Before August 8th I believe. Hope this helps.

Yeah like they^ said, only three days provided you have finished all your other AD requirements and a good chunk of those classes can be taken remotely as well.
